The Miami Dolphins are reportedly exploring trade options for star cornerback Jalen Ramsey, as reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Ramsey, considered one of the best in the NFL at his position, has already received a $4 million bonus from the Dolphins. Any team that trades for him would owe him $21.1 million of the $25.1 million he is guaranteed this year. This news comes as a surprise, given Ramsey’s stellar career as a three-time First-Team All-Pro selection and seven-time Pro Bowler. In 2024, he signed a three-year, $72.3 million extension with the Dolphins, making him the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL at the time. However, recent contracts have surpassed Ramsey’s deal in terms of pay. The Dolphins may be looking to trade him before the 2025 NFL Draft to get timely draft compensation. Ramsey’s future in Miami is uncertain as trade talks continue to swirl around the talented cornerback.
