Police arrest California man for making bomb threat at Coachella festival


Coachella campers faced a traffic nightmare as they arrived at the festival grounds, with long lines causing delays. A man was arrested for threatening to bomb the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, claiming he had a bomb in his Tesla. Police located the man and arrested him, but no weapons or explosives were found in his possession or vehicle. The man, identified as Davis Darvish, remains in custody with bail set at $1 million. Cathedral City police are investigating Darvish’s activities related to his contact with a nearby casino. As of April 13, no charges have been filed against him.

Coachella is one of the largest music and art festivals in the US and the world, held annually at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. This year’s headliners include Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone, Charli XCX, Megan Thee Stallion, and Travis Scott. The festival is scheduled to take place over two weekends, with the first weekend already completed on April 13 and the second weekend planned for April 18 to 21.
