A man has been charged with 11 counts of vandalism and one count of disorderly conduct after throwing red and yellow paint on several Teslas parked at a dealership in Peabody. The suspect, Gardy Pierre, was caught by police running away from the scene with paint on his clothes and was found with spray paint and acrylic paint in his backpack. Pierre allegedly asked if his actions would be considered domestic terrorism on Elon Musk’s cars. This incident is part of a national trend of people targeting Teslas, with recent incidents in Weymouth, South Boston, and Fenway. The U.S. Attorney General, Pamela Bondi, warned that those involved in such actions against Tesla properties will face consequences. Pierre is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on May 20 at Peabody District Court. This vandalism highlights the public’s growing discontent with CEO Elon Musk’s role in the Department of Government Efficiency.
