Influencer Andrew Tate is facing accusations of rape and abuse by four British women in a civil suit filed in Britain’s High Court. The women claim that Tate choked them, with two accusing him of rape and one alleging he threatened her with a gun. Tate has denied all accusations, stating any sexual intercourse was consensual.
The women are seeking damages for assault, battery, and infliction of intentional harm, citing mental stress and humiliation. They claimed Tate recruited them to work for his webcam business, where they were asked to perform requests online in return for payment. The women stated that while Tate initially appeared kind and charming, he eventually became controlling and threatening.
Local police investigated the claims, but the Crown Prosecution Service declined to bring charges in 2019. Only 2.6% of rape allegations in England and Wales result in prosecution. Tate’s lawyers argue the case should not be heard in the High Court due to the statutory limitation period for personal injury claims, while the women’s lawyers are calling for judicial discretion to hear the claim.
Representatives for the women have called for the British government to seek Tate’s extradition, as he is also facing criminal investigations in Romania. Tate’s spokeswoman stated that the accusations were one-sided and premature, and he remains confident that the truth will prevail.
The case will be heard in court on April 15, where the women aim to hold Tate accountable for his alleged actions after being denied justice by the police and the Crown Prosecution Service. They have accused Tate of using his influence to evade consequences for his actions and are determined to seek justice through the legal system.
