Rosemond, a 23-year-old promising young woman, was found shot to death in a parking lot after being lured there under false pretenses by Anacreon and another man, Roberto Jeune. Jeune, who has since passed away, was a close friend of Rosemond’s and used a Lexus GS300 to lure her to her death, promising to sell her the car she desired. The men allegedly killed Rosemond for $4,000 and celebrated her murder with a bottle of champagne as her family searched for her unknowingly. Anacreon, now facing charges, has been identified as one of the perpetrators in this tragic event. District Attorney Marian Ryan emphasized the cold-blooded nature of the crime, which has finally been brought to justice after years of investigation.
