The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is currently investigating multiple recent plane crashes in the US, including incidents in Alaska, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. One of the crashes involved a small airplane in Alaska that crashed off the coast, killing all 10 people on board. The preliminary report revealed that the plane was overweight before taking off, contributing to the crash.
The investigation into the Alaska crash is ongoing, with a focus on the plane’s center of gravity and weight distribution. Additionally, the report noted challenging weather conditions at the time of the crash, including light snow and moderate icing. The wreckage was found on a floating ice pack in the ocean, complicating search and rescue efforts.
In addition to the Alaska crash, other recent incidents in the US have also raised concerns about aviation safety. These incidents include a mid-air collision between an American Airlines plane and a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter near Washington, D.C., a medical jet crash in Philadelphia, and several other crashes and incidents in Arizona and Denver.
