Massachusetts Creates New Website to Support Fired Federal Workers

Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey has launched a new website called “Fed Up” to help connect federal workers who have been fired or laid off by the Trump administration with job opportunities and training resources in the state. The website aims to support the more than 46,000 Massachusetts residents who work for the federal government in various sectors such as public administration, education, transportation, warehousing, and the postal service.

Healey criticized President Donald Trump and Department of Government Efficiency head Elon Musk for firing federal workers who play essential roles in serving the community and protecting consumers. The website offers over 160,000 job postings from both public and private sectors, showcasing the opportunities available for federal workers in Massachusetts. It also provides information on training programs and resources to help them transition into new roles.

With the Trump administration planning to lay off 80,000 workers at the Department of Veterans Affairs, the website also includes veteran-specific employment resources. Secretary of Veterans Services Jon Santiago highlighted the importance of supporting veterans who are affected by these layoffs and emphasized the value of their dedication and expertise in the workforce.

The launch of the “Fed Up” website is part of Massachusetts’ effort to help federal workers who have been impacted by the Trump administration’s policies to find new employment opportunities and continue their careers in the state.
