Amazon employees decline union attempt; Harvey Weinstein files lawsuit against his sibling

Workers at an Amazon warehouse in North Carolina have rejected a proposal to unionize, with the majority voting against joining a grassroots labor organization. The National Labor Relations Board announced that about 2,447 workers voted against union representation while 829 voted in favor. This decision comes after workers at a Whole Foods Market store in Pennsylvania recently voted to unionize. Meanwhile, jailed movie mogul Harvey Weinstein has filed a lawsuit against his brother and other executives, alleging that they duped him into guaranteeing a $45 million loan in 2016. Weinstein claims that the funds were diverted for personal use, leading to his downfall. His lawyer stated that Weinstein was deceived by those closest to him, under the pretense of saving The Weinstein Company. Harvey Weinstein is currently detained while awaiting a retrial on sex crimes charges in New York.
