An Alabama woman who accused rappers Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs of raping her when she was 13 has withdrawn her civil lawsuit against both men. The woman had filed a lawsuit against Combs in December, adding Jay-Z to the legal action later on. Jay-Z denied the claims and tried to have himself removed from the lawsuit. He called the woman’s decision to withdraw the lawsuit a victory and referred to her allegations as a “fictional tale” that was without merit.
Combs, who is currently jailed in New York awaiting a criminal trial on federal sex trafficking charges, also faces multiple sexual assault lawsuits. The plaintiff’s lawyer, Tony Buzbee, stated that his firm represents over 150 people who allege sexual abuse and exploitation by Combs, including both men and women. The lawsuit’s dismissal marks a significant development in the case, with Jay-Z expressing relief that the false claims have been put to rest.
