Edwin Arroyave recently provided an update on his ex-wife Teddi Mellencamp, who underwent brain cancer surgery. Arroyave shared on Instagram that the surgery went well, but Mellencamp was in a lot of pain and needed rest. Their son Cruz also made a card for his mom as she recovers. Mellencamp had been experiencing severe headaches for weeks before being hospitalized and diagnosed with multiple brain tumors. Two tumors were removed in surgery, with the remaining ones to be treated later with radiation. Mellencamp expressed gratitude for the support from her loved ones and medical team during this challenging time. This health battle comes after Mellencamp’s previous battle with stage II melanoma cancer in 2022. Throughout 2023, she underwent various treatments for melanomas before having a successful wide excision melanoma procedure. As she continues to recover from her recent surgery, Mellencamp remains surrounded by the support of her family, friends, and medical professionals.
