Georgia mother Lindsay Shiver, accused of plotting to kill her ex-NFL player husband, Robert Shiver, with the help of her Bahamian lover, Terrance Bethel, is set to be released on $100,000 bail from a Bahamas prison. The Nassau judge initially revoked Shiver’s bail due to a TV interview she did, but later reinstated it with a gag order in place.
Shiver, Bethel, and the alleged hitman, Faron Newbold Jr., were arrested in the Bahamas in July 2023 and pleaded not guilty to all charges. Lindsay Shiver’s bail was revoked due to an interview she did, and the judge felt it put her at risk after an alleged assault by a different boyfriend in Alabama. The dynamic between Lindsay and Robert Shiver had reached a breaking point after 13 years of marriage, with accusations of infidelity, domestic violence, and plotting murder.
After Lindsay Shiver allegedly sent a WhatsApp message saying “Kill him” to the hitman, she was arrested in the Bahamas along with Bethel and Newbold. Robert Shiver expressed gratefulness to be alive during a court appearance in December 2023.
The Shivers are fighting for custody of their children and ownership of their $2.5 million Georgia home. Lindsay called 911 after Robert refused to let her hitch a ride on a private jet to meet her lover in the Bahamas. The unfolding drama highlights a complex and dangerous situation between two individuals once bound by marriage.
