A Brockton man, Elishah Moore-Evans, was arrested by the Norwell Police Department after threatening car dealership workers and attempting to steal an Uber and a police cruiser. Moore-Evans faces 10 charges, including assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, and attempted carjacking. The incident occurred on Jan. 29 when Moore-Evans became agitated and aggressive during an Uber ride to a car dealership. He threatened to kill the employees, attempted to steal a car, and assaulted the Uber driver. Despite his efforts, Moore-Evans was unable to successfully flee the scene as police arrived. He then tried to open a police cruiser door, stating he would take the cruiser, before resisting arrest and causing damage to the cruiser door. An officer was injured during the altercation and was also taken to a hospital. Moore-Evans was eventually subdued and taken into custody, then transported to a hospital for evaluation. The Norwell Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident.
