Winnipeg’s 3rd-period surge leads to 6-2 victory over Bruins

Mark Scheifele scored two goals to lead the Winnipeg Jets to a 6-2 victory over the Boston Bruins on Thursday night. Vladislav Namestnikov, Nikolaj Ehlers, Parker Ford, and Kyle Connor also found the back of the net for the Jets, securing their fifth consecutive win. Bruins’ Brad Marchand and Elias Lindholm scored for Boston, which has now lost two games in a row.

Despite a strong effort from Boston, Scheifele’s goals in the third period helped the Jets pull away for the win. Scheifele, who has scored four goals against the Bruins this season, showcased his offensive prowess once again. The Bruins, coming off a tough loss to Buffalo, struggled defensively, allowing the Jets to capitalize on their lapses.

Before the game, the Bruins paid tribute to the victims of a recent tragedy involving skaters from the Skating Club of Boston. Marchand also made history as the first Boston player to score power-play goals in back-to-back games this season.

The Jets will conclude their road trip with a game against the Washington Capitals, while the Bruins will face the New York Rangers next. Despite the loss, the Bruins will look to regroup and bounce back in their upcoming games.
