New Patriotic Coach has Ties to Mike Vrabel’s Tennessee Team

The New England Patriots have made some changes to their coaching staff this week, as safeties coach Brian Belichick and cornerbacks coach Mike Pellegrino did not return to the team. In their place, Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel has added two defensive back coaches who previously worked with him in Tennessee.

After bringing on veteran safeties coach Scott Booker, the Patriots announced they are adding Indianapolis Colts assistant defensive backs coach Justin Hamilton to their coaching staff. Hamilton, a former NFL defensive back, got his start in NFL coaching with Vrabel in Tennessee and has since gained experience coaching at various levels.

Hamilton, who is known for his versatility as a former athlete, played multiple positions at Virginia Tech before entering the NFL. He has also served as a defensive coordinator and worked in player development at Virginia Tech before making the jump to the NFL.

Hamilton will join a defensive staff in New England that already includes several former Titans coaches, as Vrabel is quickly reshaping his coaching staff after the departure of Belichick and Pellegrino. The Patriots have also added another assistant defensive backs coach, Kevin Richardson II, to their staff.

Overall, the Patriots are looking to strengthen their defense with these coaching additions, as they prepare for the upcoming season. Fans can keep an eye on how these changes will impact the team’s performance on the field.
