The New England Patriots have announced that senior offensive assistant Ben McAdoo will be staying with the team for the 2025 season, as reported by ESPN. McAdoo, who joined the organization last year, will be one of the few holdovers from the previous coaching staff under Jerod Mayo. His role last season included working on the development of quarterback Drake Maye. It is not yet known what his specific title will be under the returning offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels next season.
McAdoo, a former NFL head coach and offensive coordinator, had been out of football before joining the Patriots. He has previously worked for multiple teams, including the Jaguars, Cowboys, and Panthers, with his most notable coaching role being with the New York Giants. With no prior experience working with McDaniels, McAdoo is set to be among the three coaches who will remain in New England under new head coach Mike Vrabel.
