Warning: Chocolate-covered snacks and other items could trigger severe allergies

California-based company Cal Yee Farm LLC has issued a recall on dozens of chocolate- and yogurt-covered products due to undeclared ingredients that could cause serious or life-threatening reactions. These products include almonds, Hot Cajun Sesame Sticks, and fruit baskets, which may contain undeclared milk, soy, wheat, sesame, almonds, and food dye FD&C #6. The FDA has classified this recall as Class I, meaning there is a high probability of serious adverse health consequences or death.

The recalled products were distributed in stores across several states, including California, Arizona, Virginia, New Mexico, Texas, Tennessee, Oregon, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. The products are packaged in clear zippered pouches with bright yellow labels, ranging from 8-ounce to 5-pound bags. Some of the chocolate- and yogurt-covered products affected include dark chocolate walnuts, dark chocolate raisins, dark chocolate almonds, yogurt-coated almonds, and dark chocolate apricots. The dark chocolate apricots come in two types of plastic containers with yellow or white labels, while the Fruit Baskets are marked with yellow labels.

While no illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall, customers with allergies to any of the undeclared ingredients are urged to either dispose of the products or return them to Cal Yee Farm for a full refund. It is essential to take this recall seriously to prevent any potential health risks associated with consuming these products.
