A 44-year-old Boston man has been arrested for allegedly ramming his vehicle into a Massachusetts State Police cruiser multiple times and then fleeing on foot. Keion Rowell is facing charges including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, and trafficking in cocaine. The incident occurred near the Jackson Square Orange Line station last week. State Police deployed a “Star Chase tracking device” on Rowell’s vehicle after he failed to stop, allowing them to track him down to Thwing Street in Boston. Rowell allegedly rammed the police cruiser several times before fleeing on foot. Authorities found evidence of trafficking weight narcotics at the scene. Rowell was apprehended by a joint effort of various law enforcement agencies including the State Police and U.S. Marshals Service. The trooper involved in the incident was taken to a hospital for evaluation. Rowell is now in custody and facing multiple charges in relation to the incident.
