Three former Citizens Bank employees in Boston have been accused of stealing more than $90,000 from customers’ accounts. Yeimaly Moscat, Yojairis Suazo, and Angelica Morales allegedly processed unauthorized withdrawals from multiple accounts while working as bank tellers at different branches. The stolen funds were reportedly paid out to their associates in counter transactions, posing a serious breach of trust. The District Attorney’s office in Middlesex released a statement detailing the charges, including larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny, against the accused individuals.
Citizens Bank promptly addressed the situation and apologized for any inconvenience caused to their customers. Moscat and Suazo have already been arraigned, with bail set for Moscat at $1,000 and Suazo being released on personal recognizance. Morales is scheduled to appear in court for her arraignment soon. The bank pledged to review security measures to prevent similar incidents in the future, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding customer accounts and information. The ongoing case highlights the significance of trust and integrity in the banking industry and the need for stringent security protocols.
