Timothee Chalamet left awestruck by Bob Dylan’s response to ‘A Complete Unknown’

Bob Dylan has given his approval to Timothée Chalamet and the upcoming biopic “A Complete Unknown.” The film is based on Elijah Wald’s book “Dylan Goes Electric” and follows the early ’60s events that led to Dylan’s performance at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival. Dylan praised Chalamet’s performance as a younger version of himself, sparking excitement from the actor.

Chalamet expressed his gratitude on social media, sharing Dylan’s message and calling it a dream come true. The movie, directed by James Mangold, explores Dylan’s career and features Chalamet singing and playing guitar live on set. Chalamet recalled a particularly emotional moment while filming a scene involving the song “Song to Woody.”

While Dylan was not directly involved in the project, he did have conversations with the director before filming began. Chalamet described playing Dylan as a unique challenge but one that he embraced fully. The film is set to be released in theaters on Christmas Day.

Fans of both Dylan and Chalamet are eagerly anticipating the release of “A Complete Unknown” and are looking forward to seeing how Chalamet brings the iconic musician to life on the big screen.
