A man has been taken into custody by the police in Dover after barricading himself in a home with a knife. The incident occurred on Claybrook Road in response to a report of an “unwanted person” at around 11 a.m., according to the Dover Police Department. Despite attempts by officers to de-escalate the situation, the man refused to come out of the home and barricaded himself inside. Additional backup was requested from neighboring police departments including Needham, Westwood, Natick, and Medfield.
The man’s motives for his actions remain unclear, but the police managed to safely apprehend him without any reported injuries.
