In a recent speech in Paris, the head of the UK’s MI6, Richard Moore, warned of Russia’s “staggeringly reckless campaign” of sabotage in Europe. He emphasized the importance of supporting Ukraine, stating that the cost of not doing so would be infinitely higher. Moore’s speech aimed to rally European allies and skeptics in the US about the significance of Ukraine.
Western intelligence officials have been warning about increasing Russian sabotage actions, with NATO and others attributing hostile activities across Europe to Russia. Moore highlighted the role of Russia’s GRU military intelligence service in causing mayhem in the UK and Europe. He also mentioned the likely expansion of Russia’s sabotage campaign against European targets to pressure the West over its support for Ukraine.
Cooperation between the UK and the US has played a role in enhancing security, and Moore expressed a commitment to continuing this partnership. He cited successful collaboration with the Trump administration in the past and looked forward to further efforts in shared security goals.

Moscow claimed to have seized a village in the Donbas region, where it has been making territorial gains. Additionally, Ukrainian forces downed numerous attack drones launched by Russia, aiming to target the Rostov border region. The situation in Ukraine remains tense, with ongoing conflict and territorial disputes.
