Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo stated that as long as Peppers is following the legal process and doing the right thing, he is expected to play when ready. The league’s decision to remove Peppers from the list could be due to the suspension length he has already served. Peppers’ trial is scheduled for January, and the NFL may impose discipline based on the investigation’s outcome.
Peppers, who remains focused on getting back to football, has received support from team owner Robert Kraft. The player’s legal representation has advised him not to discuss details of the case publicly.
