Latest additions to Trump’s Cabinet picks include Duffy and Carr

President-elect Donald Trump recently made two new selections for his Cabinet, choosing Fox Business host Sean Duffy for Secretary of Transportation and Brendan Carr to head the Federal Communications Commission. Duffy, a former reality TV star and Trump loyalist, is known for his co-host role on Fox Business. Meanwhile, Carr is a Republican commissioner at the FCC who has criticized content moderation by tech companies.

Paralleling this, danger looms for Trump’s pick for attorney general, Matt Gaetz, as Florida lawyer Joel Leppard revealed allegations that Gaetz paid women for sex and engaged in inappropriate behavior with a minor. Although the Justice Department’s investigation into Gaetz ended without charges, Gaetz resigned from Congress amidst the controversy.

Additionally, Trump has selected a variety of other individuals for key positions in his administration, including Susie Wiles as Chief of Staff, Marco Rubio as Secretary of State, and Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense. Further appointments include Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services, Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence, and Elise Stefanik as Ambassador to the United Nations.

Trump has also tapped Brendan Carr to lead the FCC, with Carr advocating for changes to Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act and a ban on TikTok due to national security concerns. Overall, Trump’s Cabinet selections include a mix of political figures, media personalities, and industry leaders, reflecting the diversity of backgrounds within his administration.
