Pregnancy News for Chelsea Striker Sam Kerr and U.S. Midfielder Kristie Mewis
Chelsea striker Sam Kerr and U.S. midfielder Kristie Mewis have announced that they are expecting a baby. The news was shared on their respective Instagram accounts with a post that included a picture of the couple holding up an image of an echography and the caption “Mewis-Kerr baby coming 2025!”
Kerr, who is the captain of the Australia national team, recently signed a two-year contract extension with Chelsea, solidifying her place with the London club until 2026. She is regarded as one of the top stars in women’s soccer, with an impressive list of accomplishments including five consecutive Women’s Super League titles, three FA Cups, and two League Cups. However, Kerr is currently recovering from a serious knee injury and is sidelined from playing.
Mewis, who plays for West Ham, is also pregnant with her first child. She has 53 appearances for the United States women’s national team and is a significant player in women’s soccer.
The announcement of their pregnancy was met with congratulations from West Ham on Instagram. Both Kerr and Mewis are looking forward to this new chapter in their lives as they prepare to welcome their first child together.
