A 32-year-old woman, Mary Blasetti, died two days after being involved in a golf cart accident in Maryland. She was a passenger in an E-Z-GO golf cart driven by another 32-year-old woman, and she suffered life-threatening injuries after being ejected from the vehicle when it hit a dip in the road. Blasetti was airlifted to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, where she passed away on Monday. The incident is being investigated by the Anne Arundel County Traffic Safety Section, but police believe it was an accident.
Blasetti leaves behind her husband and 2-month-old daughter, and a GoFundMe fundraiser has been set up to help the grieving family with financial support. The fundraiser, which has raised 92% of its $300,000 goal, described Blasetti as a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend who brought joy to many people. She had recently bought a home and welcomed her baby in September. Her sudden passing has deeply impacted her community of friends and family, who are mourning her loss.
