As the race to the White House intensifies, Donald Trump is fighting back against comparisons to the Nazi dictator Hitler, claiming he is the “opposite of a Nazi.” With only seven days left until the election, both Trump and Kamala Harris are engaging in a war of words on the campaign trail. Trump was seen speaking at a rally in Atlanta, Georgia, where he defended himself against recent racist remarks made at his Madison Square Garden event. Hillary Clinton and Tim Walz campaigned in Michigan, while Barack Obama and Bruce Springsteen rallied in Philadelphia.
Bernie Sanders, campaigning for Harris in Wisconsin, criticized Trump as a “pathological liar” and someone working to undermine American democracy. Sanders also addressed voter concerns about the Biden-Harris administration’s record on Gaza, promising to change US policy. Before joining Obama at a rally, Springsteen voiced his support for Harris and opposition to Trump, emphasizing the importance of protecting democracy and women’s rights.
Former Supreme Court clerk Anita Hill spoke out against the racist, misogynist, and sexist insults aimed at Harris, expressing sympathy for the vice president. Meanwhile, a senior campaign adviser for Trump confirmed that the speeches at the Madison Square Garden rally were vetted beforehand, but some of the more offensive remarks were adlibbed. In addition, more than 48 million Americans have already voted early in the election. These developments come ahead of Harris’s closing argument speech in Washington DC and potential investigations into voter fraud in Pennsylvania.
