Israel mandates further evacuations in Lebanon and warns medical personnel treating Hezbollah members

Israel has ordered more evacuations in southern Lebanon and has threatened to target ambulances, as the conflict with Hezbollah escalates. The military ordered people in 23 villages to evacuate to areas north of the Awali River due to recent Israeli attacks. Israel claimed Hezbollah militants were using ambulances for transport and warned medical teams to avoid cooperating with them. The Lebanese health ministry reported damage to hospitals from Israeli airstrikes and casualties from strikes in various locations.

The United Nations peacekeeping mission in Lebanon has also been targeted, with five peacekeepers injured in recent days. The mission has accused Israel of deliberately targeting its positions. International condemnation has been directed at Israel for these attacks. The Lebanese prime minister has called for a ceasefire, while the US defense secretary expressed concern over the attacks on UN peacekeeping positions.

Hezbollah claimed to have attacked the outskirts of Tel Aviv with drones, while Israel has targeted Hezbollah fighters and weapons storage sites in Lebanon. The conflict has forced over a million people from their homes and has caused a significant death toll. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs stated that more Lebanese people have been displaced in this conflict compared to the 2006 war between Israel and Hezbollah.

The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah began a year ago, escalating with recent bombings and rocket attacks by both sides. The situation remains tense, with calls for a ceasefire and diplomatic solutions to avoid further casualties and displacement.
