Massachusetts State Lottery Winner Claims $4 Million Prize in $10 Game


A lucky lottery player in Massachusetts recently claimed a winning $4 million scratch ticket, leaving just one grand prize to be claimed in the $10 game. The winning ticket was from the ” $4,000,000 Lion’s Share” game, purchased in Waltham from Mike’s Fuel & Foodmart. As of September 17, only one $4 million grand prize and three $1 million prizes remain to be claimed. In total, at least 768 prizes worth $600 or more were won or claimed in Massachusetts on Monday, including 21 in Springfield, 28 in Worcester, and 55 in Boston.

The Massachusetts State Lottery releases a complete list of winning tickets every day, only including tickets worth more than $600. This year, the largest lottery prize won in Massachusetts was worth $1 million a year for life from the “Lifetime Millions” scratch ticket game. The winner claimed their prize through a trust on July 10 and chose to receive a one-time payment of $15.4 million.
