The New England Patriots are facing two big problems after a tough loss to the Seattle Seahawks. The second issue lies with the play-callers, as the Seahawks were able to outsmart both offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt and defensive coordinator DeMarcus Covington. Seattle was effective at countering the Patriots’ offensive strategies, burning them on key plays that ultimately led to their victory.
Despite these challenges, Brissett has been performing admirably, ranking well in QBR and success rate. However, the Patriots need to find solutions quickly, particularly in improving their pass protection and offensive play-calling.
On the defensive side, the Patriots struggled to contain Seattle’s offense, with Geno Smith finding success against the Patriots’ blitz packages. Defensive coordinator DeMarcus Covington’s strategies were not as effective as hoped, and the team was ultimately unable to stop Seattle when it mattered most.
Moving forward, the Patriots will need to address their issues on both sides of the ball to bounce back from their early-season losses. With improvements needed in pass protection, offensive play-calling, and defensive strategies, the team must regroup and make changes to secure more favorable results in upcoming games.
