Iconic Jackson 5 Member Tito Jackson Passes Away at 70
Tito Jackson, a member of the legendary group The Jackson 5, has sadly passed away at the age of 70. Tito, the third of nine siblings, including famous brothers Michael and Janet, was a key part of the family group that produced hits like “ABC” and “I Want You Back” in the 1970s.
The Jackson 5, which also consisted of Jackie, Jermaine, and Marlon, were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1997. Tito, known for his background vocals and guitar skills, shared a special bond with his younger brother Michael, whose death in 2009 deeply affected the family.
Despite the loss of Michael, the Jackson brothers continued to perform together, feeling his absence in their shows. Tito released a solo project in 2016 titled “Tito Time” and worked on new music, including a collaboration with his sons TJ, Taj, and Taryll, who formed the group 3T.
Tito’s death, reported by Entertainment Tonight, marks a significant loss for the musical world and the Jackson family. His contributions to the music industry and his enduring legacy as a member of The Jackson 5 will always be remembered and cherished by fans worldwide.
