Boston College High School’s cross-country team is gearing up for a strong season, with top returning runners Greg McGrath, Shamus Larnard, and John Wilson leading the way. Defending champion Brookline will also be a strong competitor with Altamo Aschkenasy and Lysander Duffield back on the team. Other top runners to watch in Div. 1 include Jack Graffeo from Westford Academy and Chris Barbato and Tim Connolly from Reading.
In Div. 2, Danvers and Ludlow are expected to be top teams, with standout runners such as William Conklin and Joseph Keroack leading the way. Div. 3 is shaping up to be a fierce competition, with Parker Charter School, Hamilton-Wenham, and Greater Lowell all fielding talented runners.
On the girls’ side, Oliver Ames is looking to be a top contender in Div. 1, with Braelyn Graham, Hannah Dupill, and Iole Apostoli leading the way. Cambridge, Westford Academy, and Arlington also have strong teams with top runners such as Aoife Shovlin, Abigail Hennessey, and Evie Lauzon.
Div. 2 is expected to see strong performances from Northampton, Whitinsville Christian, and Medfield, while Bromfield looks to dominate Div. 3 with top runners Evelyn Wool and Rosie Bradley leading the team. Other top runners to watch in Div. 3 include Susan Wisniewski, Katelyn Massey, and Virginia Krezmien. Overall, the upcoming cross-country season promises to be an exciting one, with fierce competition and talented athletes vying for the top spots.
