Former Vice President Mike Pence now teaching a college class – Where is he now?

Former Vice President Mike Pence has started a new job teaching political science at Grove City College in Pennsylvania. Pence, who taught his first class on Thursday, will be joined by the college president, Paul J. McNulty, in the classroom. Pence expressed excitement about his role and the opportunity to teach young Christian leaders at the college. Grove City College, a private Christian liberal arts institution, does not accept federal funding and has named Pence as its first Distinguished Fellow for Faith and Public Life.

Pence, who served under President Donald Trump and made an unsuccessful bid for the Republican presidential nomination, joined the college after leaving Washington, D.C. Pence notably distanced himself from Trump by refusing to follow his directive not to certify the 2020 election results that made Joe Biden president, leading to the Capitol siege by Trump supporters on January 6, 2021. Despite this, Pence received a warm welcome from students on campus and expressed admiration for their graciousness.

With a tuition of $20,890 and 97% of students living on campus, Grove City College offers a unique learning environment for its 2,400 students. Pence’s role at the college aligns with his background as a former Indiana governor and his interest in faith and public life. While Pence had considered a run for the Republican nomination in 2024, he dropped out in October. Overall, Pence’s new role at Grove City College reflects his continued interest in politics and education.
