Steve Buscemi, the renowned actor best known for his roles in “The Big Lebowski” and “Reservoir Dogs”, was recently spotted in Dublin where he attempted to break up a fight outside a bar. Buscemi, who was taking a break from filming the latest season of Netflix’s “Wednesday”, had just finished lunch at a local restaurant when the brawl broke out. Despite not actually physically breaking up the fight, witnesses reported that Buscemi tried to help diffuse the situation.
The 66-year-old Brooklyn native, who previously worked as an FDNY firefighter, had largely gone unrecognized prior to the incident. After the fight dissipated, Buscemi slipped away from the crowd and disappeared.
This comes after Buscemi was randomly assaulted in May in Kips Bay, but the recent incident in Dublin showcased his willingness to help in a difficult situation.
Buscemi has been frequently seen around Dublin as he continues filming for the next season of Tim Burton’s “Wednesday”. He will be playing the role of Barry Dort, the new principal of the show’s Nevermore Academy. Previous seasons of the show were filmed in Romania, but have relocated to Ireland for this season.
Despite his fame, Buscemi showed his humble and helpful side in Dublin, leaving a positive impression on bystanders as he attempted to intervene in the fight.
