Donalda Maria (Almeida) Ferreira, a Fall River woman who passed away in mid-August after being struck by a car, was fondly remembered for her love of shopping, watching TV, and enjoying nature. The 62-year-old was hit by a 42-year-old woman driving a Chevrolet Sonic on Aug. 16 near 278 President Ave. Ferreira was born in Bretanha, Azores to Joao DeAlmeida and the late Maria Estrella Almeida.
According to her obituary, Ferreira enjoyed shopping, getting her nails done, and watching TV, particularly true crime documentaries and comedy shows. She also had a love for butterflies and the beach. She leaves behind many loved ones, including her father, two daughters, Melinda Ramsay and Jennifer Ferreira, as well as friends Kevin Pontes and Mark Springer, Jr.
Ferreira’s passing has left a void in the lives of those who knew her, as she was described as someone who loved deeply and was a fierce protector. Friends and family will fondly remember her for her interests and hobbies, as well as her warm and caring personality. The Fall River community mourns the loss of Donalda Maria Ferreira, and her memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
