Rain delays, but fails to dampen spirits at FM Championship – Day 4 recap


The inaugural FM Championship at TPC Boston was filled with drama as players had to endure a weather delay of over two hours before eventually crowning a champion. Jin Young Ko and Haeran Ryu ended up in a playoff hole, with darkness looming, before Ryu emerged victorious on the 19th hole. Many players were already finished when lightning struck, forcing a delay at 3:40 p.m.

Despite the weather challenges, Ko remained calm and focused during the delay, ultimately finishing in second place. Liu, who started the tournament with a 9 on her first hole, had an impressive comeback with back-to-back 64s, finishing in third place. Khang, a native of Rockland, also had a solid performance, finishing 3-under par for the tournament and expressing gratitude for the support from her hometown crowd.
