Choose a Candle with Your Nose or Craft Your Own at the New Boston Boutique

Candlefish, a unique candle store known for its “100 Candle Library” of nameless scents and candle-making workshops, has opened its second location on Newbury Street in Boston. The store encourages customers to rely solely on their noses to pick their favorite scent from the library of 100 candles without traditional fragrance notes or labels.

Customers can also participate in public or private workshops, known as “chandlery,” where they can make their own candles with their preferred scents. The workshops cost $65 per person and participants can take home two 9-ounce candles. The candles burn twice as long as traditional candles as they are mostly made of soy wax, which is also biodegradable and non-toxic.

The workshops are run by Candlefish’s staff, called chandlers, who guide guests through the candle-making process and proper candle care. Participants also receive a 15% discount on store items on the day of their workshop. Candles can be picked up the next day or shipped for a flat rate of $18.

Candlefish chose Boston for its new location due to the city’s rich history, vibrant culture, and thriving art scene. The store aims to offer unique candles and memorable experiences to the dynamic Boston community. Candlefish Boston will be open Monday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Visit the store at 110 Newbury St. and experience the immersive world of candle scents.
