Vice President Kamala Harris received a wave of endorsements from Massachusetts Democratic leaders, including Senator Elizabeth Warren, Senator Ed Markey, and Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley. The endorsements came after President Joe Biden stepped away from the presidential race and endorsed Harris. Other members of the Massachusetts delegation, including Representatives Lori Trahan, Bill Keating, and Jake Auchincloss, also pledged their support for Harris. The state’s Democratic Party announced that their 116 delegates at the convention will vote for Harris as the party’s nominee. However, Rep. Stephen Lynch was the only holdout as of Monday night. A spokesperson for Lynch stated that the Congressman fully supports Harris to be the party’s nominee and future President. Vice President Harris recently made a surprise visit to Roxbury Community College, where she participated in a community town hall with members of the Congressional Black Caucus. The visit comes as Harris is seen as a potential nominee for the next presidential election. Overall, the support for Harris from Massachusetts Democrats is a significant boost for her potential campaign.
