A lucky lottery player in Massachusetts has come forward to claim a $100,000 prize from a scratch ticket game released last year. The winning ticket was sold in Lowell at the Mill City Convenience store. The “300X” game, which costs $30 per ticket, still has two $15 million grand prizes, four $1 million prizes, and 40 $100,000 prizes waiting to be claimed as of July 23.
Across Massachusetts, there were a total of 792 prizes worth $600 or more won or claimed on Monday, with 16 in Springfield, 26 in Worcester, and 58 in Boston. The Massachusetts State Lottery publishes a daily list of winning tickets, only including prizes worth more than $600.
The largest Massachusetts lottery prize won so far this year was worth $1 million a year for life, from the “Lifetime Millions” scratch ticket game. The winner opted to receive a one-time payment of $15.4 million through a trust on July 10.
Lottery players in the state are encouraged to check their tickets regularly, as there are still many prizes waiting to be claimed. The excitement of potentially winning big continues to drive interest in the various scratch ticket games offered by the Massachusetts State Lottery.
