The hit 2005 movie “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” may have started 17 years ago, but the bond between the four lead actresses remains strong. America Ferrera recently shared a special reunion with her co-stars Blake Lively, Amber Tamblyn, and Alexis Bledel at the screening of her record-breaking film “Barbie” in New York City. The movie premiered in 2005 and was adapted from the 2001 novel of the same name. It follows four best friends and a magical pair of jeans. A sequel was released in 2008. Lively and Ferrera still have admiration for each other and consider themselves friends and mentors. Ferrera was recently in Boston, where thousands of women quoted her character’s climatic “Barbie” monologue to her. “Barbie” has been nominated for numerous awards. The Golden Globes will be presented on January 7th, a week before the Critics Choice Awards on January 14th.
