An initial IDF probe has revealed that three Israeli hostages killed in Gaza were shirtless and carrying a makeshift white flag when they were mistakenly fired upon by Israeli forces. The incident took place at the Farhana school in southern Gaza, where one of the hostages was killed on the scene, while the other two were shot and killed after seeking refuge inside the building. The IDF has promised to conduct a full-scale investigation into the matter.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society has reported that they have been providing health awareness services for displaced women in southern Gaza, while pro-Palestinian rallies have taken place across the world in solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza.
There has been a prolonged communications blackout across Gaza, which has isolated the region and cut off the civilian population from the rest of the world, putting them at risk. The blackout has been heavily condemned by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) as well as Human Rights Watch.
Al Jazeera announced that one of its journalists, Samer Abudaqa, was killed in a missile attack in Gaza also. In response, they have instructed that the case be referred to the International Criminal Court.
The families and supporters of the remaining hostages held by Hamas have taken to the streets in Tel Aviv to demand their release. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated his vow to continue the ongoing war in Gaza.
